In 1971, The Inverary Inn in beautiful Baddeck became home to the MacAulay Family. Isobel and Danny MacAulay ran a modest Bed & Breakfast for visiting tourists for eight years and in 1979 their son, Scott MacAulay and his wife Terri became the Innkeepers. This new Innkeeper brought with him a vision to develop not only this property in Baddeck but to add to the business with three additional properties to create what is now Cape Breton Resorts.

Cape Breton Resorts resort properties on the Island include  – Inverary on Baddeck Bay, Dundee Resort & Golf Club in West Bay, Bell Bay Golf Club, Ingonish by the Sea and Kildare Landing. Cape Breton Resorts is known for delivering vacation memories to visitors from around the globe with numerous amenities and activities.

As time progresses, so does Mr. MacAulay’s vision and today Cape Breton Resorts is developing lifestyle condominium communities at the resorts that are very unique to Atlantic Canada. “There’s a great lifestyle here in Cape Breton and we want to offer a product that lets people from other parts of Canada and around the world come and experience it,” says Mr. MacAulay. “This is also a good alternative for Cape Bretoners living elsewhere who return for regular visits or who plan to retire here. “I would like to personally invite everyone to come and visit us at the Lifestyles Office at the Bell Bay Golf Club in Baddeck. If you are thinking of a future home or condo purchase on the Island, I am sure you will agree - this is the most unique development available.”
